I happened to have my DSLR camera in my big purse while I was grocery shopping. I walked outside and couldn’t help but notice this awesome view of the clouds. I was standing in the middle of the parking lot and snapped this photo. I had to share it! I hope you enjoy it!

Each year my family goes on a cottage getaway. My parents definitely did not expect this photobook as their cottage memory keepsake. This 108 page photobook was made from the photos I took this year. Each photo was perfectly selected based on colour, composition and clarity. I edited each photo and designed a lovely book out of it. I’m so proud of it. I wanted the place to look like a spa. I woke my parents up at 5:30am to get a photo of them drinking coffee outside on the dock in Muskoka chairs, dressed in white robes. The lighting of each photo was splendid. They now understand the urge for those 5:30am photos and they forgive me for waking them up hehe.

I run outside every time it’s raining to take photos of raindrops on petals. I now have an extensive nature collection. I love framing nature photos in my house. I consider it bringing nature inside! There is something about raindrops on petals that feels like a spa ahhh. I’ve decided to blow up my nature photos and give them away as gifts. Who wouldn’t want a lovely photo like this in their home? I definitely suggest everyone take their macro lenses outside and do the same! I will post more like this in the near future.  

Finally! A perfect spot to do Bridal makeup retouches. I was a little bit in control of this decision to put her in this specific spot. There was an awning  just above her which was a neutral colour. There was also neutral colour brick, so there was no chance of colour reflection on her face! Jia Jia was a natural when it came to the camera. It really didn’t even matter that she had a videographer and photographer around her all day. She was able to act cool as a cucumber. I love this photo. I just thought I’d share it.

Karie had fun at her husband’s Fire Fighter hall posing with his boots, trucks and equipment. I didn’t know what to expect when I heard it was a Fire Fighter themed wedding. It turned out to be one of the funnest weddings I have ever photographed. My favourite part of this wedding had to be the reception. The bride and groom were certainly up to dancing and celebrating their new vows. Under Karie’s beautiful long white dress, was a much shorter dress that was perfect for dancing!

This little cutie was very cooperative. He only peed on one blanket hehe. I personally do not specialize in Baby photography, but I love doing lifestyle photo shoots of the little ones. There are certainly many things I must keep in mind when photographing babies. It is best to do a baby shoot within the first 10 days of birth because they pretty well sleep throughout the whole thing. There is so much hustle and bustle when a newborn arrives, so it is important to book your newborn photo shoot well before giving birth. Babies don’t always come on time, so it’s good to give the photographer a rough idea when you will be expecting. These images will certainly be with you and our family forever. I am proud of the lighting in these images. I barely did any colour correction. I focussed mostly on his eyes and kept everything bright and natural.

It was a cloudy, boring day.. What better day then to take some good friends out and make them do crazy things? Natalie and I have the MOST fun. Her and Taiba came with me to the Lakefront in Pickering, Ontario. The girls dressed up and brought an umbrella. Although skin tones and perfect lighting cannot be found on this type of day, I realized that the colours of the lake show up much better in the overcast. I love Natalie’s hair in this one. I shall call her Natalie Poppins
